The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins staved off elimination with a 3-1 win against the Providence Bruins in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal. The Penguins will look to send the series back to Providence with Game 5 at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza on Saturday night. Trailing 1-0 after the first, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton put forth its best of hockey in this series against Providence.
The Penguins evened the score at 6:25 when Adam Payerl pushed down the right side of the Bruins’ zone and left a pass to Warren Peters. The veteran forward used a Providence defenseman as a screen to sneak a wrist shot inside the far post.
