Below are stories in the SendtoNews archives that indicate Fire as their primary category:
In some unusual fire news, a matte black Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 burst into flame on the highway April 14, 2012 when it was being taken for a test-drive by a potential customer. This fire occurred on highway 73 near Aliso Viejo in southern California. It appears the fire began in the left rear tire of the Lamborghini. It is not the first time that a Lamborghini or Ferrari has burst into flames, according to an article posted by California Fire news.
This is the first time that an Aventador that has ever burst into flames and been destroyed by fire. The Aventador is known as a high-performance super car. It can accelerate from zero to sixty miles an hour in the space of three seconds.
Venture capitalist Jason Schultz was the man who was taking the Aventador for a spin when it caught fire. He was photographed standing casually near the burned-to-a-crisp shell of the $374,000 Aventador looking so casual and nonchalant that this photo has now taken on a life of its own on the Internet. Perhaps the reason he looks so calm is because it wasn’t yet his car. Nevertheless, this photo has now been copied and altered with a variety of funny captions.
Video of the Aventador burning on the highway while firefighters try to put it out is also posted on the Internet. In the meantime, the Lamborghini company that made the car is trying to figure out what went wrong and why this car made the fire news.
