AHL Adirondack Phantoms at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins

Defenseman Brian Dumoulin made it back-to-back game-winning goals as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins outlasted the Adirondack Phantoms, 2-1, at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.    

  For the second straight night, the Penguins struck early on the power play in the first period to take a 1-0 lead.  At 6:19, Paul Thompson came from behind the net on the near side and on his second attempt, pushed the past Phantom goalie Scott Munroe for his 11^th goal of the year.   The Phantoms would knot the game up at 8:26 of the second period.  Marcel Noebels scored his first goal of the season lifting a backhanded rebound shot over the shoulder of Brad Thiessen.   With 2:18 remaining until the intermission, Dumoulin put Wilkes-Barre/Scranton ahead for good with his fourth goal of the season.  Brian Gibbons raced down the right wing into the Phantoms zone, pulled up at the circle and ...
