Former CHEK-TV sports anchor Keith Wells has expanded his cloud-based multimedia news distribution platform into eastern Canada.

SendtoNews allows sports, businesses and police and government organizations to provide high-definition videos and photos to TV, radio, print and online newsrooms. Wells says more than 200 newsrooms in North America have already used the SendtoNews platform, which was used to provide multimedia content during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. B.C. clients include the RCMP. Wells is best known for his days at CHEK but he's also a "serial inventor" with video technology, including a portable teleprompter for video journalists and an eyecontact device for webcams.
