Matthew Watson - SendtoNews CEO
Matthew Watson’s first involvement with SendtoNews (STN) was helping STN’s founder during the early years of SendtoNews with strategic planning and team development before having to fully focus on his own start up, Armorlogic, which as CEO, Matthew Watson grew to a leader in web application security for large enterprises, before the company was sold to Alert Logic in 2012. Matthew continued on as an executive of Alert Logic through 2013.
Matthew returned to SendtoNews in 2015 to lead the company to over 9000% revenue growth over the past 4 years and from 1 million unique viewers to over 15 million, which ranks it first on comScore above ESPN, Yahoo, CBS Sports and MSN in sports video viewers and views.
Matthew Watson began his career in tech as a senior executive of ACD Systems growing it from digital imaging software startup to global leader in digital imaging technology reaching a market capitalization of over $150 million. After ACD Systems, Matthew joined Carmanah Technologies as Chief Operating Officer leading it’s operations from a marine lighting start up to a global leader in Solar LED lighting.
Matthew Watson has a BA and JD from the University of British Columbia. Matthew lives in Victoria BC with his family and when not traveling on business, enjoys everything Victoria has to offer.
